As a single mother, I’m always looking for ways to save my money. With 4 kids, the one thing I’m certain of  is that I will spend money on detergent the next 20 years. Typically I search for the cheapest detergent. However the real, real cheap stuff was not cutting the mustard. Yes I bought detergent for 2.99 and assumed it would clean behind me, toddlers and teens. So a few years ago a friend told me about Purex.  At any given time in her laundry room you bet on their being 5 boxes of Purex. I assumed they were pricey since this friend is a “I don’t do no-brand or cheap stuff” type shopper. Then she showed me ticket price for 4.99$ price I was sold. That was like I said a few years ago and I’ve been a Purex fan  since.

So when the opportunity came to try the new Triple Action Purex I was happy as if Christmas had come again. I alway have dirty load on stand by so as soon as it arrived I got to washing.  I had the Mountain Breeze scent and was pleasantly surprised. I usually am a lavender girl but I definitely will buy Mt. Breeze again.

 I use only 1 cupful as directed with a standard size load and it washed wonderfully. With other (non-mustard cutting detergents) I have had to use 3 capsules just to see some suds. For me I can honestly say I get no less than 25 regular loads in a 33 load bottle.  You can’t beat that in my opinion. The only thing I havent done, is try the Triple Action Purex on any heavily soiled laundry yet. However I have no doubt I wont be disappointed.  I’m a regular Purex user (back before the new and improved version) and have washed previous heavily soiled clothes and had great results.

Another plus was the smell on the laundry. The scent it left on the sheets and clothes were gentle to the nose. I especially don’t like over powering smells on my sheets  since I lay on them for hours. Purex detergents scents are just enough and for me that’s an extra plus.

What I appreciate about Purex is the “Prove it yourself” motto. They don’t want you to take their word for it. It’s important for Purex to have the consumer happy and satisfied. I feel Purex lives up to that.  They don’t  have the gimmicky, bells or whistles, just plain old proven cleaning facts.

This detergent is New & Improved. Its promises to leave the clothes more bright, white and clean for half the cost of the leading brand.  The talented scientists not only created an even better formula, but Purex still stayed mindful of the consumers pocketbook. Keeping the cost low.

If you own a High Efficiency (HE) washer, dont panick, this new and improved formula is still specifically formulated to work in both the traditional machines and the (HE) washers. This is very much appreciated since most (HE) washers must only use (HE) detergent and can get expensive.

If you’re not a Purex user I suggest you pick your scent and give them a try. I think the hardest part for me when I run out and buy another bottle, will be picking a new scent. I want to try them all.
